Today I dropped one of my favorite earrings on the bathroom floor right near the drain. I picked it up & promptly dropped it in the drain.

Despite attempts from DH & I draining the water with a sponge on a stick & poking about with blu-tack on a stick we couldn't find it.

Would it be worth the time & expense of a plumber or has it been lost forever?

I had post of the day once, until GQ took it away
You should be able to rescue it yourselves, I've been able to unscrew the bendy bit and retrieve the gunk covered earring back myself more than once.

Oh no!!

I would think not worth the expense... I hate those drains (even though they have saved the bathroom a few times! LOL)

Do you have a wet vac? You can remove the grate part and vacuum down the drain pipe then sieve through the water collected.

The cost of it probably woûldnt be viable unless it is worth a lot. We used to charge around $200 for using the camera. Plus you have call out fee and the plumbers time
