Disclaimer: this is NOT meant to be a consumerist brag fest.
Splurges can come in many forms and are not restricted to those on 3 digit incomes or lotto winners.

Having said that, my splurge today did cost a little bit, but oh so worth it. Today I bought myself a (small) bottle of perfume* that I have been lusting after for 2 years. I am still smelling my wrist every 10 minutes, I love it so much. A splurge that has made me oh so happy.

*for the perfume addicts who need to know, it is this:

So, what was your last splurge, just for you?

My latest splurge was to get my nails done the other day, it was extra special as I took a half day off from work to get them done.

I am in the market for new perfume so will check out your link OP.

A 9-tray Excalibur food dehydrator so I can more easily dry all the fruit from our trees. I want to get into drying excess veggies from the garden too, so I can chuck a handful of dried veggies in soups over winter. It was a big buy for us but it'll pay for itself in no time.

And yes, our kids will have dried fruit from our garden in their lunchboxes over winter *shriek!* ohmy.gif

Well I haven't taken the plunge yet but I REALLY want to get a Dyson handheld vacuum or the upright cordless one. It would save my back for having to vacuum every couple of days after the kids. I dont know if I can justify the $360 odd being that I am a non-working single parent, it would come out of my savings!!

My last realy splurge was a holiday to sunny QLD last year child free. That was very indulgent!

We spent alot today on a few splurges... DH spent $240 on new work clothes which are necessary but not splurges however we got the nice work pants from Country Road for much more than cheap ones at Myer.

We also bought new sheets $100 a set and a new doona cover - $89. Considering the last doona I bought was in 2007, a new cover was much needed. Our current one is faded, stained and now has a nice big rip...

Sorry lozoodle you are disqualified for the MCNs but the handbag counter-balances that . MCNs do not a proper splurge make IMHO. The definition of a splurge is that it is NOT for the offspring. As every mum knows, it's easy to go out shopping for one'sself and come back laden with stuff for the kids.

We bought this on a whim and it's freaking fantastic, even though we haven't tried it out on baby yet original.gif
