I'm looking at a post grad course in Organisational Leadership with UNE (distance education).

Has anyone studied with them? I'm particularly interested in 1) their distance learning methodologies - are they good at managing off campus and cloud technology? 2) how are their post grad courses? valuable and relevant/transferable content?

Thank you.

Its been several years but I found UNE to be excellent. I found the uni to be more flexible than other universities I looked at studying with especially in terms of residential school (other unis had compusory res school, UNE did not, convenient for me as I could not always make it). In terms of technology, it certainly met my needs but I completed my degree in 2007, I am sure things have improved since then with better technology. Based on my experience I would be happy to recommend UNE.

Thank you. After a little of Google research, the reviews are really positive. I have known for a while that they're meant to be off-campus specialists biggrin.gif My undergraduate degree through another Uni was okay. The content was fine and could be transferred to the corporate environment but, their off-campus delivery was very mediocre (i.e. convert all learning materials to a .pdf, chuck it up in the 'cloud' and dada - we're great at off-campus delivery unsure.gif ).

The course I'm interested in is quite unique, limited places, competitive entry so I need to take a gamble and hope they'll be good in the online environment hands.gif

Thanks for the response.

This speaks volumes for the course, doesn't it. Good luck with it. I have fond memories of my time at UNE. I have also studied elsewhere face to face, but as you say, UNE have always been off-campus specialists.

It's cold outside, there's no kind of atmosphere
I'm currently studying with UNE. Undergrad though, so can't help with what they are like postgrad. I have found them to be nothing short of amazing. Lectures are the same as on campus students, so you get exactly what they get, none of this CD from 2004 business other distance universities send out. The tutors and lecturers are always online on moodle and have plenty of ways to contact them. They engage students through discussion and tutorials.

All in all, great uni.

I am doing and undergrad degree with UNE by distance. I am really enjoying it and find the delivery is very well done.
I had heard they were specialists at online delivery which is why I have chosen them and now I agree with that.
There has been a few hiccups heread there but, I have found theuni has trid to resolve things quicklyan fairly on the od time there has been an issue.

Now, I must get back to writing my essay...
