Please don't attack me. I feel terrible!

We have the lovely kinder bunny for the weekend. He's really cute and friendly and hops all over the house. He has been lovely to have apart from the poop everywhere.

Anyway, I went into the laundry this morning to get him out. He was sitting next to the window. He had dragged a box of rat sack out from behind the filing cabinet. I didn't know it was there. DH had apparently put it there a year ago when we had a mouse plague. He had completely forgotten about it.

I don't know if he ate any but have to assume, he did. DH has rushed him off to the vet.

Please pray he is OK. I can;t imagine telling kinder that we killed their pet bunny. Oh my God. What a nightmare!!!

sad.gif I hope he is OK too.

I used to have a house bunny. He enjoyed getting into a lot of things he shouldn't have and it was more for the joy of moving it around or destroying it rather than eating it... so fingers crossed kinder bunny didn't ingest any of the pellets

Even if he ingested it, depending on the poison, he could still be fine. Vets can treat the ones that rely on blood thinners to kill rats.

And as PP said, if not, buy a replacement and think of a terrific story to tell the kids about how bunny had a makeover.

The kinder bunny is going to be fine. The poison he ingested is one of the less potent ones. Just needs to take Vitamin K daily by mouth for 6 weeks.

I am so relieved I could cry. In fact, I did.

Yes, that's to treat warfarin (blood thinning agent) ingestion. My dog had the same treatment when she ate rat sak in a poisoned rat.

Good news OP.
