There is a huntsman spider on my bedroom wall, right near my side and about 1/3 down. Rationally, I know it won't bite me unless I provoke it, but I'm not sure I can go to sleep with it so close to my head.

What would you do?

Hmm probably nothing. I'm not worried by spiders.

Can you catch it in a jar and take thee outside?

If there was no other adult in my house....Call someone to come over and get it.

Seriously.

I am terrified of spiders - *shudder*

I would never be able to sleep with one in the house - i would not be able to enter the room if i knew one was there.

I'm a big chicken i know!!

What Magician said.

I have to say I have never had one jump on me while I'm sleeping, but cockroaches... you really have to get them out. There is nothing creepier than waking up from a deep sleep with a big fat festy cockroach scrabbling around your neck.

*shudders* uuurrrggghhhhhhh!!! sick.gif

I would catch it and put it outside.
The easiest thing is just to put a plastic container over it and slide a bit of cardboard (magazine cover, etc) under and throw it down the bottom of the garden.
I don't think I could go to sleep with it in my bedroom.

He's not home! Bah! I don't want to just vacuum him up, and I just know something would go wrong with the jar trick.
