Wasnt sure what to put as the title for this one.

A group of friends and I were chatting the other day and we started discussing sex (shocking I know) anyhoo one of my friends said she read something saying that people who have more regular sex lose weight more easily and seem to maintain a healthier weight overall. The reason behind this is the more sex you have the more endorphins you release and the less likely you are to overeat.
All sound great right?
Then we started speculating amongst the people we know/celebrities who would be doing it wild thing the most, and they were all well within a healthy weight range, and those who were less likely (the ones that were there and admitted to it lol) were struggling to maintain a healthy weight.
When mentioning it to my DH he was well keen to partake in a little 'research' lol
Is it a bunch of bolony or a known medical fact?

Thought?

DISCLAIMER- the discussion was had over a few wines and was all in good humor, so hopefully this topic stays on the fun side

Sex does raise your heart rate if you go
Hard enough lol but wat about virgins in healthy weight ranges, some of who are adults.

Dunno how true it would be fun to experiment and test the theory

I don't think I would be basing anything about my life on what is reported about Celebrities lives. They often have chefs, personal trainers, often lipo, are probably on hunger suppressants and have odd working hours that would more likely accommodate a work out.

Personally, I don't think there is a link. But hey, willing to be showed otherwise!

DH and I have a good sex life.
I am obese.

Overeating and psychological reasons why people do it is a very complex issue.
Endorphins I sure has little to do with it.

A more logical connection is that fitter, thinner people have better body image and are less tired so are more likely up for some action.

Of course it's a massive generalization.

Complete crock made up by a guy to try to get women to have sex more.. Because they think they'll slim down and get a good body. Sounds the same as "sex will bring on labour"

Both Absolute bolony if you ask me.

Given that pregnancy is a known side effect of sex, and pregnancy is normally associated with a large and rapid increase in waist measurement - I'm not convinced by this theory!

Well it certainly doesn't fit with my old uni mate's theory of "Fat chicks get all the sex".....

I do know for me that when I was getting the most sex I was also the thinnest...

This however had everything to do with the fact that I was a randy little teen/early twenties though and nothing to do with the endorphin theory!

I know that the boy I was doing all that sex with sure ate like a starving horse!

I agree men in their teens and early twenties eat like horses!

Yet are randy devils.

Hey maybe men and woman should all w**k our selves thin!
It's the orgasim after all releasing the endorphins.

Hey there might be a best seller in that!
