I’ve had the opportunity to purchase a second hand Steelcraft Strider 3 stroller for $200.
The stroller is in “as new” condition – barely used as it was too big for the owner’s car boot so they haven’t used it out and about. It comes with the detachable bassinette option and the weather shield cover. I have an SUV so the boot thing wont be an issue, I know the owner and they only ever have “the best” and are pedantic about cleanliness etc. Its just I’m only very early in my pregnancy (don’t want to jinx anything) and tend to research the hell out of anything before I purchase it, and I don’t have my usual weeks and weeks to consider options (I was incidentally interested in the Strider 4 and Agile series prams) so its similar to what I was leaning towards when I did some minor research in my last pregnancy (miscarriage). Seems like a bargain – should I bite the bullet and buy it? Does anyone own this stroller? Pros and cons? Am I going to regret it if I don’t buy it? Opinions? Thanks |

I bought a second hand Strider 3, but the front wheel kept getting stuck sideways at the worst time, for example as I got off travelators. It may have just been that particular pram but I won't be buying any more 3 wheelers.

Thanks lovealpacas - this is good info to have. I was leaning towards the 4 wheel options. Might be best to stick to it?
Cheers |

Also another thing to take into consideration is if you want to add a toddler seat later on. The 4 wheeler is more stable with the extra seat as the weight of two littlest is better distributed. We were advised of this when we were looking to buy our strider and was recommended the four

We are hoping to have 2 rather quickly so the extra seat may be needed if things work out. Note: the opportunity has passed, someone else snapped up the stroller, but this is good to note for our research. I probably wont purchase until the end of the pregnancy now. |
