So i missed my period and did a few tests both came out positive but a very light second line, then the blood test from the dr came back positive, im around 7 weeks pregnant, but then this whole week i have been spotting, no blood just brown discharge and no abdominal pains or anything, being paranoid i took another test this time a ph strip from a pharmacy in bali (might not be great quality) but it cam eback negative. Is it likely that becuase of the spotting my hcg levels may be different indicating a negtive test even tho i am still pregnant? i have an appointment with my dr tomorrow but just wanted to hear if anyone else has delt with this
cheers

I am prob not much help, but have had both good and bad outcomes from early spotting. Had brown spotting with DS at 4 weeks and bright red at 6 and red with DD at 6 weeks. Had brown spotting with one pregnancy at 4 weeks and brown with another at 9 weeks.

It is so individual, anthing could be happening. My ob has said she has seen it all - minor spotting as a miscarraige and and full on blood loss all over the bathroom and pregnancy was ok.

Suggest you get an ultrasound if you think you are 7 weeks. They can see a heartbeat from 6 weeks, so this will let you know for sure.

Good luck, my fingers are crossed for you

I had spotting with all 3 pregnancies but with my first my hcg levels were not going up as quickly as expected. I had a mm at eight weeks but didn't find out till I had my 12 week scan.
I had to have a d&c and fell pregnante again 3 months later and started spotting again so I was obviously very concerned. I had 4 ultrasounds & 3 blood tests before my 12 week scan and everything was fine. No one can find any reason for the spotting (sometimes it was quite heavy) and my baby was perfect.
I 'm pregnante again and started spotting but it only lasted a few weeks this time while the last two I spotted for quite a while (1st the whole 12weeks & 2nd about 6 weeks)
Ask your dr for a blood test & referral to have an u/s.
Good luck!

I have had quite a lot of brown - reddish spotting with two of my pregnancies and both were ok.

Not sure what a pH test strip is going to tell you? That wont detect hcg, so it doesn't mean anything?
