Hi all,
need a dress for my niece's wedding in a months time. I am about 170cm, size 14, 85kg. I am quite large busted - 14E. I want something non black, vneck or scoop neck to play down the bust, maybe knee length or just above. I do have a waist, but also a mummy tummy. My legs are passable. I don't mind sleeveless, but would prefer maybe a cap sleeve or something - my arms are not too bad, but more muscular than most. No loud patterns or really bright colours - as I know all my sisters are wearing dark colours. Unfortunately for me they are all about a size 8, and have several inches in height on me, and are quite a bit younger. I do quite like lace and floral patterns, but usually not abstract.. My colouring is quite fair skin, blue/green eyes, light brown hair. So to sum up I want something to make me look slimmer, taller and younger - not so impossible? Throw me your suggestions please. Thanks |

Also this http://www.birdsnest.com.au/brands/ping-po...-jersey-dress-1 poppy maybe too bright, but the blue looked nice and I love jersey This for lace - not sure about the boob or colour factor though http://www.birdsnest.com.au/brands/very-ve...e-dress#Gerbera This post has been edited by gettheetoanunnery: 10/01/2013, 02:39 PM |

Are you near a Myer?
They have such a massive range of dresses.. I got one for a wedding from Basque. And it was under $100. |

I am a simailar bild to you (a bit shorter). I buy a lot of clothes here Pepperberry
what about this or this It is quite dressy, but I have this dress in blue and it is very flattering (on forgiving on my tummy. You should also look at Birdsnest , in particular the brands Maiocchi, Elise and Retrospec'd Hope that gives you some ideas |

totally recomened Leona Edmiston. I got one of hers very similar to this https://leonaedmiston.com/online_store/view...9/maddison_d772
after someone on here reccomended it for a wedding. It is lovely and was lovely to wear. Her sizing is a bit weird, my dimentions are not disimilar to yours OP and I was a size 2 (!) anyway. I love the dress. |

Thanks everybody.
I really like all the suggestions. Someone asked about budget - probably $200, as I may have to buy shoes. Wedding is formal - do you think those Leona Edmiston wrap dresses would fit that dress code? - I do have one hanging in my wardrobe! Thanks again |

Have you looked at the Asos Bodycon dresses?
There's a couple there that are quite nice that would fit your bill. http://www.asos.com/au/Women/Dresses/Cat/p...=20&sort=-1 |

I was just reading my new Ezibuy catalogue that arrived today and thought this was a great buy.
Also liked this one too. |
