I had prom with my first at just under 37 weeks. I saw the doc a few days before and he said she was high up, and cervix was closed and high. So who knows.
I read somewhere that waters breaking before labour is not common. |

It's not uncommon but the downside for them rupturing before labour is that bub doesn't have that extra time to get in a good position.

thanks for the replies. I am at high risk for it as I have had it happen in 2 of my 3 pregnancies. I think it happens around the time my babies have engaged and I think this baby engaged about 2 days ago. My discharge has been very watery this pregnancy and its making me so paranoid that I am leaking. Last pregnancy I had a slow leak from around 32 weeks but it didnt become an issue until 3 days before before my due date and the other time it was 5 days before my due date, so at least I am lucky that I get very close to my due date
