I'm not pregnant or planning atm, but I hheart.gif baby names.

One that currently keeps popping up is:

Arrietty/Arietta

Arietta is a diminutive of Aria, meaning 'little aria' - a musical term. It came up as the name of a piece I'm learning.

Arrietty is the name of the Anime movie similar to the borrowers, the main character's name. I presume it is taken from Arietta, as the character is 'little'.

So, WDYT? Does it sound too much like Harriet with a bad cockney accent? biggrin.gif

Arietty doesnt look or sound right unsure.gif - Arietta isnt my style of name - I'm not a finicky 4 syllable name person - but nothing wrong with it, is perfectly usable if that's the sort of name you like.

I've liked Arietta for a while. I think its nice. Arietty I feel as though I've come across, but not sure where. It sounds better than it looks.

I wouldn't use Arietta but I think it does sound quite pretty and I can see the attraction in it for others.
