I went back to work a few months ago at varied casual hours. DH would get home at 4:30 PM and he would whinge when I asked him to contribute to the housework or night time routine because "he worked all day and I was at home".

He is now getting a taste of what being at home means. He is on holidays this week and I am working 9-5 so he looking after our 2 children.

DD (16 months) had a rough night's sleep which meant I could retreat to the lounge and sleep through it (which is what he does to me) and I've now been home 2 hours and doing exactly what he does - sit on the couch or go out into the shed and relax.

He picked me up for lunch and brought me home and took me back and complained about how tired he is after all the running around he has done and how tiring it is and he has just came in with a basket of washing and huffed and threw it on the couch laugh.gif and announced we are having takeaway because he's had a huge day and "a roast is out of the question".

I am killing myself laughing!

He hasn't done anything. I am just about to fold the washing and load dishes from today that haven't been touched (not including anything from dinner). haha

If a cat doesn't like you, then what's wrong with you?
My DH used to always come home from work and when I asked him to do something he'd say "i don't come home to relieve you of your duties" half jokingly.

My first day back at work when I came home from work and DH was looking after DS. I said "I haven't come home to relieve you of your duties" and did **** all, all evening.

The second time he looked after DS (when DS was a walking, moody, tantruming toddler), DH rang me up at work to ask what time I am coming home as DS was being grumpy and wouldn't stop screaming. It was 9:20am in the morning and I had only been at work for an hour. DH was devastated. Lol

He's never ever questioned what I "do all day" since.

Don't do it. Leave it all to him otherwise he will have a whole heap of jobs for you to do once you get home.
