Hoping someone might be able to relate. So I'm 36 weeks and 4 days along and probably since early last week I have had this upper/ middle back pain towards the left hand side of my back. It's soooo painful and it doesn't take all that much to set it off!
Last night I went to bed with this backpain around 9.30pm. DH got the heatpack and some panadol and I just laid there. I slept through until around 6am (didn't go to sleep until midnight though) and got up just before DH went to work at 9.30am. I ate and decided I was still tired (didn't get back to sleep from 6am onwards so I wasn't surprised) and I went back to sleep at like 10.30am until 12.30pm. When I did get up I laid on the couch, had some lunch then finally decided I should take a shower. After spending over half hour on my feet my aching back has returned. I'm so frustrated! I feel like I can't do anything. I would love to tidy the house a bit (it's not in a terrible state, but it could use a tidy up) but I know my back is going to punish me afterwards. I've still go 3 to 4 weeks left and I'm going to go insane. I have been seeing a Chiro throughout my pregnancy (I was originally getting lower back pain) and that helped heaps. I saw him Saturday morning and I told him about this but unfortunately this visit didn't help this time. Is anyone able to relate? Is this normal? I've been to the hospital about a pregnancy rash and there is nothing more frustrating then calling them...you go in...pay $3 to park there for 2 hours. Wait around for an hour....get strapped to a monitor for 40 odd mins. Then be told I had to wait for a doctor...so I have to go back to my car to purchase another ticket for more parking time (so unfair when you're a patient) Not to mention had to walk MILES back to the car as they're doing roadworks to their parking lot. Then go back in, see a doctor to be told...there's nothing they can do anyway. If I call the hospital I'm afraid I will get a repeat of that which I'm really in no mood for. And no, I don't think this is labour pains as the pain is relieved by doing nothing, heatpacks and pain killers. Thanks ladies, sorry about venting my frustrations but I had to. I'm home by myself and have no one to whinge too =( |
