I like the name Cora. I've seen it spelt Corah, is this a made up spelling or legit? Do you think old lady when you hear it? I love Iris but hubby can't help but think of a nana. (Which we all will be one day anyway regardless of whether we are named iris!)

I've never seen Cora with an 'h' but no law against it.

It's not a name that I'm terribly keen on but it has gained a bit of coolness. The only Cora I know is in her 20's so it's not old lady to me. I don't think there's ever been great flurries of Cora's which sort of exempts it from eras for me. I would spell it Cora and I would choose it over Iris because Iris has already become too common again for fussy me.

Is ok name, not too nana vintage - I much prefer Cara myself.

If a cat doesn't like you, then what's wrong with you?

DH and I both love Cora. Unfortunately it's too similar to my name for us to use. I've never seen Corah.

I don't love or hate the name, it's ok. I would only spell it Cora though.

I love the name Cora. I've never seen Corah, but Nora can be Norah, so perhaps its personal preference. I also like Coraline. And Coral ph34r.gif

Thank you all! It's nice to get a feel for what people think of a name. Naming is so hard!
