what does FYOS mean

In the fire threads, For Your Own Safety. But yeah, mostly it will be first year of school.

Issue is that first year if school is called Kindergarten in NSW (different to preschool kindergarten), Prep in Victiria, Reception in SA & WA etc. So there is no common name for it in Australia.
