So it's 5am and I've been awake for 2 hrs. At 6:15 my alarm will go off and I'll have to get up and get ready for work.

Last night I only managed 3 hrs sleep all night and felt like a zombie all day at work. Looks like today I will be much the same.

I'm 21 wks pg and I have been struggling a little bit with sleep the entire pregnancy but it has become much worse in the last week or two. I've googled 'pregnancy insomnia' to get some tips on how to improve my sleep, I'm already doing most of what has been suggested.

Anyone else struggling with sleep right now? Can I expect things to improve or get worse?

I had that too when I was pregnant. For nearly 2 months after birth I would be able to fall asleep very easily but now the insomnia has come back. Good luck. I hope it goes away once bubs is born.

Yep, that's me! I've found for the past few weeks that when I wake up to go to the toilet around 4am, I get back to bed & feel really alert. Right now I also feel really hungry! I'm sure it must be my body practicing for being able to be alert in the middle of the night to BF.

I bought one of those super long body pillows and that has helped my sleep no end. Saying that, I'm off home early this afternoon as I'm exhausted and fancy a nap.

Yep, sorry to say it lasted the whole pregnancy for me. I wasn't able to do anything to really help either.

Hope it is not the case for you

Aunty to Fifteen & Mum of two girls
I'm 21 weeks pregnant now and today I couldn't go back to sleep when I got up to pee at 3.30am, I tried for almost 2 hours but hubby was snoring and I was hungry.

Luckily this has only happened a few times in the last couple of weeks... I hope it doesn't happen more frequently as I go on.

F it!
I'm having alot of trouble too OP! I can settle ok but usually wake between 12.30am and 3.00am then usually take up to two hours to get back to sleep - I also am aware I am tossing and turning alot so I must be waking up slightly then too..

The last couple of nights I've been having baths to cool my body down and have found I am sleeping a little bit better, I also take a couple of Panadol now and then if I am feeling really desperate. Just missing not being able to sleep on my tummy more than anything.

Absolutely this. I'm counting down the days until I can do this again.
