Hi everyone, newbie here, its taken over an hour to figure out how to post!
We've just moved to Brisbane from NSW (moving over Christmas is so not fun!) and have also just learned we're about 8 weeks pregnant (only had the one period after stopping o/night feeds with first bub in November so wasnt expecting this so soon!). We're living in Lota near Wynnum/Manly and need help finding everything! A GP, OB (if we go private) and a hospital. We had our little boy in a public hospital but my dream of a drug free water birth turned into a cesarian under a general (his head never engaged and he went into distress which we later learned was due to the cord being wrapped around his neck), he was a big boy too 4.5kgs. Despite how he was delivered i was really happy with the experience i had publically (although i wouldnt have touched the other public hospital in my area...) Im considering an elective CS this time and was hoping for some feedback on the local public and private hospitals. If anyone can recommend an OB or GP it would be greatly appreciated if u could PM me. Thank you kindly! |

If you opt for public, I believe you have to go to Redlands hospital if you live in Lota (I live in Wynnum).
If you go private, you can go anywhere. I'd highly recommend the Mater. As for GP's, I recommend anyone at Tyack Health at Manly West. I hope that helps This post has been edited by lucky 2: 09/01/2013, 09:45 AM
