Is there anyone else that would normally be in bed by now but can't sleep because of the heat ?

I normally cool down our bed s with ice packs but I left them at work today sad.gif .

Any ideas on how to get to sleep or anyone else up because of heat induced insomnia ?

If a cat doesn't like you, then what's wrong with you?
I like to visualize that I'm in a warm bath, sometimes that helps.

It's only quarter past eight here in WA, so not bed time yet but I'm interested how you use ice packs to cool down your bed. I've never heard of anyone doing that before. Do you sleep with them or remove them before you hop in?

grasping at straws, but can you soak some tea towels, wring them out as much as you can and put them in the deep freezer for 30 minutes. maybe put it over the top of a top sheet, or put something that might stop any wetness from seeping through if you dont want to get wet.

IsolaBella, how is it down in Kiama ?

We arrived home from there on Saturday and the reports of fires down at Sussex Inlet has made me hope that they don't go anywhere near Kiama. At the moment I am dreaming of moving to Kiama.

Sunny cat, thank you,

The Magician, I leave them in. I got the idea from when we put hot (wheat) packs in the bed to warm it up in Winter. Last Summer I thought the same principle (of making sleep easier) should work if you use ice packs during Summer. I tried it and it works. I leave the ice brick/pack in the bed as having my feet touch it seems to help me sleep. I'm contemplating putting a bag of frozen peas in the bed so I can get to sleep soon sad.gif

Edited as brain not functioning due to heat unsure.gif
