I have introduced cows milk for one feed for my DS who is just over 12 months. He is breastfed for all other feeds but I am wanting to wean him. He has never been keen on the bottle but took some cows milk for the first couple of days, then has refused for about a week. He isn't a great sleeper but has been worse over the last week and has been very windy. He also during the week has a very loose poos for a couple of days that resulted in his first case of nappy rash, which was really bad.
I tried cows milk again today which he took from a sippy cup. Tonight once again he has been really windy and has woken a couple of times already since being put to bed. So, really I am wanting to know, could this be the milk or is it just a coincidence? How can I tell if it is the milk? The only other thing I can think of is that he has been eating grapes (I am sure I heard some where that they could cause gas - not sure if that is true). But he has probably eaten grapes for a a couple of months and I haven't noticed any of these symptoms. Do I just cut out milk and assume if he gets better that that was it or is there a way I can tell? I have tried one bottle of formula but he refused that, so not sure what I should offer him? |
