Ok well this is a dumb question but can you get pregnant having sex on CD 6 at the last day of a period?
I always was naive enough to believe the sperm would die before ovulation on a 28 day cycle.
The reason I'm asking is because I have every classic symptom but I'm only on CD 14 which doesn't make sense. I wasn't even thinking about it until I had to leave the cinema twice as the nausea was so bad but I never vommitted. It felt like I was driving through the blue mountains and it was a 2D movie and I've never been sick in a movie before. Then I've had headaches and body aches for a couple days but no runny nose, no sore throat, no symptoms of illness. I've been tired but also can't fall asleep and my knee aches which only happens during early pregnancy or my period.
It's bizarre. I've never felt this way except when pregnant. The only symptom I'm lacking is the constant cramps.....
I feel like such a twit as I'm most likely just coming down with something but I'm always an anomaly and go figure when my doctors said no pregnancy that will be when it happens :/

ETA I know the only way to know is to test but the next 10 days waiting will kill me.

Ive also been using opk's as we want ttc in about 14 months when I get the ok from my specialists but are going to attempt to gender sway.

I got a half strength line ( not darker than the control) on cycle day 9 (my first test) but then they got lighter and are now completely negative or the last 4 days. Why would I not get a dark line only half dark and then no line at all cycle day 14 which is the day I normally ovulate. I had all classic ovulation symptoms 3/4 days ago.

Okay, I'll vote for possible. If my math is good, this is how it COULD be possible.

Sex on CD 6and
Sperm lasting 3-4 days and
Early ovulation on CD9/CD10
And implantation of 4-5 days...then yeah, could be!

That's a lot of "and" but the medium-then-light OPKs tell me maybe you surged on CD8 and it was already fading by CD9 when you first tested. So then you would've ovulated on CD9 or 10. How have your cycles been since Logan was born? (Strike the LF comment. I should not do math when tired!)

As a plus, if you were planning to sway, one of the biggest recommendations is to have sex a couple days before ovulation to have the female sperm sitting around waiting for the egg, so that might work out for ya.

Yes. Both my children have been conceived that early in my 28 day cycle. Day 7 for the first and Day 5 for the second.

Thanks so much for the reply!

My cycles have been like clockwork. My first cycle after birth was 36 days after delivery and then 32 days and the last two cycles were 28 days spot on.

DH has been in Afghanistan but he came home for a few days for leave over Christmas. Can my body force ovulation if there has been no sex or man around for 3 months and then suddenly there is sperm present so my body thinks "hey better take advantage before its gone" haha

I'm a little worried as my doctor even tod me to stay off Skype as I needed to give my body a break and my Ob says I'm 'too' fertile.

I've never ovulated early before but perps apps there's a first time for everything.

It's going to be a long 10 days!

Yes, maybe your body smelled man! wink.gif I hope it all works out okay for you.

I can't be sure when I ovulate. Given how fertile I assume we are we've never had to chart. The second time around we weren't planning to really try for another month but jumped the gun just that once on Day 5 and that's all it took. It didn't sway gender by the way. Our second is a boy much to our suprise.

That said, my sex drive is highest mid cycle and that does predict ovulation somewhat. I don't think I'll ever know.

Yes indeed. original.gif
Our 5th was the result of having sex on Day 4. This I know for a fact because my DH went away for the rest of the month and I was pregnant when he got home 3 weeks later.
I actually still had the remnants of the first period I had had for 4 years. I think that some sperm last for a very long time....this is the only possible answer to why I got pregnant.

Yikes...well soontobegran I guess my body is confused or I am really UTD

I'm a bag of nerves...I was not planning this but I would be ok with it even though its really bad timing with DH away and a 4.5 month old! We were not planning to try for another 14 months.

Eek
