I took the kids to the pool today as it was stinking hot. We go fairly often in summer and I always wear a bikini. Nothing skimpy though. I am now 26 weeks pregnant and still wear the bikini but add some short board shorts.

Today it felt like ppl were looking at me because my pregnant tummy was exposed. I am a size 10 and don't hve a single stretch mark so it's not as though they were looking at that.

What do you think? Is it ok to wear a bikini when pregnant or should I be covering up? It has made me quite self conscious.

I've been wearing bikini top and boardies while having a very pregnant belly too I also have no stretch marks etc (just some furry legs and spider veins but its too damn hot for me to care what others are thinking about. I would probably check out a nice big pregnant belly too, but not in judgement Enjoy your body and pregnancy

They were probably admiring you!! I have to admit, there was a gorgeous pregnant lass at our pool on the weekend and I couldn't stop admiring her beautiful belly

Wear whatever you feel happy in. Perhaps people were admiring your belly.

Whenever I see a pregnant woman I can't help sneaking a peek at her belly.

Hell no! Wear what you're comfortable in! I went on holidays this time last year and then had my baby in April, wore a two piece bikini as normal. I even wore a bikini in march last year on manly beach at about 33 weeks. Nothing to hide! How annoying (and expensive) to have to buy a one piece maternity cozzie!

You have three kids and are more than halfway pregnant with number 4. You are at the pool. Supervising all your presumably fed, clothed children. Probably all wearing sunscreen and hats.
I struggled to put on pants today and missed my mouth a few times putting water in it.
Give yourself a slow clap and stop thinking about how your body appears to others.

I wore a bikini the whole time I was pregnant - I swam twice per week at MSAC amongst the speedo-wearing mob of regular swimmers. A few people would look as I got in and out of the pool, but I couldn't really blame them with my massive belly hanging out. (TBH, If I saw a woman with a pregnant belly on show I would probably look myself... Pregnant bellies are awesome.)

I certainly didn't feel that it wasn't ok, and I wasn't about to buy an expensive pair of ugly maternity bathers for a few months wear when pair of bikinis in a larger size was much more comfortable.
If anyone finds a pregnant belly offensive, then they should probably be wearing a full-body bathing suit themselves or not be at the pool. My tight-yet-round belly was a lot less offensive than my usual saggy non-pregnant belly which also gets itself out in bikinis when it probably shouldn't!

I often look at ladies with a pregnant belly exposed because I think it looks so lovely! I doubt there was a negative connotation.
