Hi, the kids and I (5, 3 & 9 months) recently relocated to Mernda Victoria from interstate and are wandering what things are there avalible for us to do in the area? DH had to stay behind and finish up work but will be joining us in 2 weeks, until then its just me and the kids. So being a little lonely and clueless as to whats in the area, what can we do? Are there any playgroups in the area? Other activites avalible that I'm not aware of?

Thank you for any advice given. Kids are a bit sick of being housebound and only mummy to play with biggrin.gif

Save me Barry!
This place is over in Greensborough

http://www.watermarcbanyule.com.au/

and has a really awesome water play area for kids. On hot days it gets completely packed but it might be worth a look on a warmer day

Bundoora farm in Bundoora is also fun and has a little playground next to it

Yes I agree with Lyra, watermarc is great. My girls love it. Waterslide was really fun too - even for the adults!

Also take a drive up to kingmaker & marysville. Not far from you at mernda. Very peaceful area and lovely area.

Kids are free in the school holidays at Melbourne zoo. There are some fantastic parks around also. Try the hilltop park in Doreen.

Welcome!

Im a Mernda Resident also! Mernda Villages estate has a great park and a lake to walk around.

I believe there are play groups at the Mernda Kindergarten & in shotters rd at the church. (Id call playgroup Aus to get in the know)

Another vote for Watermac its really great for the kids. There is also fun fields in Whittlesea.

Library in mill park may have some activities on at the moment because its school holidays too
