Does anyone know if it would be likely to have EWCM, but not be ovulating? Because that's definitely what I have, but according to my GP from the results of an ultrasound on 12th December I am not ovulating (no follicles identified).

I'm a bit confused....new to all this so just trying to work it out, but if EWCM is only created when ovulating then I guess I know what I'd best be doing later tonight

Hi maxshim. Yes, it is possible to get EWCM without ovulating. Are you having regular periods?

But having some fun later tonight is not a bad idea, just in case

I hope you dont mind me piggy-backing your comment...? You have asked a question that I am also curious about! I am new to this forum and still learning my way around so at the moment I am mostly just clicking on lots of things to find out how it all works. Oh, and I am slowly learning my CM from my AF and my OPK's and hopefully achieving a BFP of my own if I can get a handle on it all before I turn 100.

Just like you, Maxshim, I seem to have predictable CM pattern with EWCM appearing CD 17 or 18 ish which would suggest a late ovulation/short Luteal phase. However, my temps are all over the place and quite hard to read at this stage so, like you, I am unsure if I am ovulating at all. (Secretly impressed when I read back over my own sentence at how fluent I sound in this foreign language of 'TTC' even though, to be truthful, the whole sentence took quite a long time to type while I sorted my abbreviations out hehe).

It is such a boost be able to talk with ladies who have traveled this path for a while and have experience and advice to offer. Not to mention sharing the rollercoaster ride with each other. Apart from the obvious reasons I am reading and asking for help, a part of me is also reveling in what seems to be a rich and amazing sisterhood. Wow.
