Hi, baby three arrives in April so I need to sort out car restraints for our two cars. To be honest, it's giving me quite a headache. I've googled and searched here and there are lots of valuable snippets, but without being sure that we're talking identical car models, and without being able to get my hands on the seats to try it all out, still not sure what will fit.

I thought about going to a baby store to ask, but not all stores have all brands/types of seats, so not sure if this method would work? Otherwise, has anyone had any luck approaching one of the car seat fitting orgs?

Any advice greatly appreciated!

(fyi, we are attempting to seat a tall nearly 6 year old boy, a super tall turning three any moment now boy, and a newborn. We have a Toyota Kluger (maybe a 2010 model, not 100% sure) and a Mazda 3 Sedan -2005 model, currently using Maxi-riders in both cars but from what I've read these are massive so I imagine we're starting from scratch in both cars...)

The SnS Compaq is a great, safe seat that's also supposed to be the skinniest convertible carseat on the market.

We have an Infa Vario booster in my mum's car and it's pretty skinny.

In our Mazda 626 sedan we have a Maxirider and a Meridian and there literally isn't enough room for another person in the middle, let alone another car seat. So those are definitely tricky seats to fit if you need to do three across the back.

Try I fa Vario or SNS HiLiner for eldest. Or even the new up to 10yrs booster by SnS as it is very slim at the base and has no armrests.

Try SnS Compaq or New Maxi Rider (slimmer seat then old one) for your 3yo.

Capsule, SnS Compaq or Infa Neon/Kompressor for bubs.

We managed it by putting all our old big seats in our bigger car, and buying all new skinny seats like HiPods for our smaller car. Hipods are good cos they can be used for smaller kids with the harness, then as boosters with the seatbelt.

You should be able to get 2 hi pods with a slim baby capsule between them in.

My friend had a SnS capsule, an older SnS convertible FF and an Infa booster in her Kluger. It was tight though.

The Mazda is pretty small isn't it? I would try the seats the PP mentioned - baby stores sell all those seats (Compaq, Maxirider, Hiliner and Infa booster) so you should be able to try it out. You may find that vision out your rear window is an issue though. I found this when I tried to put a new Compaq in between a Hiliner and an Infa booster. The Compaq is as tall as the boosters! I had to stick with our older Compaq Deluxe and at least I can see over that seat.
