well my little boy was taking ages to send off to sleep, he was crying lots so i gave him some nurofen thinking his gum might have been giving him grief, well he's been asleep for a while now and i looked at him and noticed a black shadow that seems to be growing darker around his eye What do i do ? He was rolling around on the floor with his rattle while i was doing the dishes probably about 15 minutes before i thought he's getting due for his sleep.I'm thinking maybe he hit himself or something, he did have his rattle and teether with him on the floor. He didn't yell out or cry on the floor. Oh my god wat if its bad. Do i need to look out for anything? Should i take him to the doctor? Its getting pretty dark? Help this is his first big hurt, and i'm not sure

It's hard to judge on how serious it is without seeing it, but if you are worried then definitely take him to the doctor.

I personally would wake him up as if he has hurt his head he really should not be sleeping. You need to keep him awake to assess his alertness. It may be nothing but could be something. Impossible to say without seeing/being there. If at all concerned go to the Dr. Most are pretty good at squeezing you in for this kind of thing.

Wel he's woken up and had a feed, he doesn't seem upset and after his feed went back to sleep. when he was awake it didn't look as bad so im going to just keep an eye on him and see how he goes for the rest of the day. Thankyou for the replies

Sleep is recommended these days in concussion. Just wake ever 4 hours or so an assess condition.
