Hi EB

A shopping question - grateful for any advice

We go out in our boat fairly frequently and the kids - DS3 and DD1 - wearI lifejackets. I have been trying to find them loose cotton or linen long sleeved shirts they can wear under the life jackets to keep the sun off. Their swim rash ies are way too hot and everything else I can see in the shops is either short sleeved or sleeveless - so not suitable for a day on the water. I cover them in sunscreen but still they get hot and red forearms. I would love to find something that is both sun safe but also loose and cool. I have looked online also and could find only one shop selling something like this but they were gorgeous embroidered shirts which would get completely trashed on the boat and under a life jacket. And quite expensive too for growing kids. Does anyone know somewhere selling cool long sleeved linen or cotton shirts for kids at a reasonable price?
Thanks.

DS has a long sleeved outdoor shirt that he wears when he goes fishing. It's a Detour brand that DH got from BCF. Columbia also make similar shirts but are more expensive.

Try shadydays.com.au

I don't know if they have what you are looking for price and size wise. But it's good quality and sun safe

I have previously bought longsleeve button up cotton shirts that look like linen from Cotton On or LS cotton shirts (not button up, just LS t shirts with a tighter weave) from Target.

I have purchased LS linen style shirts from EBay second hand too.

Not sure if that helps you...
