I really want to go see the hobbit.
No one other than DH wants to see it with me sad.gif .

I can't be bothered trying to organize a babysitter.

I don't really see going to the movies as 'great quality time with DH' since we spend most the time silent in a cinema.

But I really want to see it.

I have never gone to the movies all alone.

Is it pathetic?
Will I receive looks of sadness and inspire feelings of pity?

Will I ave any weirdos sitting next to me trying to become my 'date'

Or should I just wait for a couple of months fr the DVD release?

I prefer to go alone, no distractions, no conversation. A movie is like a book to me, best done alone.

I admit though I felt embarrassed at the final Twilight movie, me a middle aged woman an' all... so I crept out before the lights went up. LOL

Oh and OP, just sit with large gaps around you and cough noisily before it starts; no one will want to sit near you.

Save me Barry!
I went and saw it by myself. I watch many movies by myself

Does that make me sad and lonely?

I go alone ALL the time. I have no-one else to go with really!! Can't remember the last time I saw a movie with someone else, apart from my DD, or by myself. I wouldn't think twice!!

I used to pre-kids, and still would if there was something I wanted to see but nobody to go with. I don't think it's pathetic, sounds like great time alone to me.

I go alone all the time - I love it. I was initially embarassed, but soon got used to it. I used to travel a lot for work, so got used to eating alone, reading books in restaurants, and movies alone etc. Better than sitting alone in a hotel room night after night.

And once the lights go down, no-one notices or pays you any attention whatsoever. (Acutally, they ignore you when the lights are on, too wink.gif ).

Another here who often goes by herself. If I had to wait to have someone to go with me, well I wouldn't ever see anything!!
Don't worry about it at all - most of the people in the cinema are by themselves!!
I recently went with a friend and the cinema had two where we wouldn't sit together or two up the front. We sat apart. Didn't bother either of us in the slightest. You don't talk during it anyway.
Once you have done it the first time you won't ever look back.

If there is something I want to see I go - don't really care what others might think about it to be honest I've not given it any thought before. original.gif
