We were going so weeeelllllll! 1 wake in the night but otherwise sleeping through. DD (19 weeks) is now waking every 1.5-2 hours. Its like having a newborn again!
Please tell me things will go back to normal. Anything I can do to help the process?! Its been 5 nights now. |

Yes, it will go back to "normal".... well, not really, every stage is a new "normal".
There's nothing you can really do to help it along - it can last for weeks and blend into the next Wonder Week (Week 26). Have you read the Wonder Weeks? It explains these developmental leaps really well - and they were super accurate with DS. Every time he would act like a space cadet, sure enough he was right in the middle of another wonder week! |

I KNOW!! DS3 was the same, one wake up a night generally then back to 1.5-2 hourly.
It was kind of stretching out again (after a couple of weeks) but last night was possibly his worst night ever. Don't know if he's coming down with something or teething or what. I agree re the Wonder Weeks. A couple of weeks ago I was tearing my hair out and then counted how many weeks DS3 is and sure enough, 19 weeks! |

Yep DD slept 6hrs the night we came home from hosp, and 8hrs from 2 weeks, til just before 4 months of age. She then started sleeping like a newborn! Lasted til I moved her to her own room at 6 months. In her case I think we were waking her a lot when we would roll over in the middle of the night.
Unfortunately in our case DD never followed wonder weeks or any schedule that the books said, she just has always done her own thing |
