Hi again,
I recently posted that DH and I couldn't decide between Ariana or Abigail for our second daughter due in 7 weeks' time. We got so much great feedback - thank you! - yet are still to make a decision huh.gif Today he threw a new name into the mix, Layla, which he had previously vetoed for DD#1 who we named Amelia Jane so I didn't bother bringing it up. Now he has decided that he loves it (?? rolleyes.gif ??) but I am wondering if it is too similar to Amelia? Would love to hear your thoughts, thanks so much original.gif

If you love it then go for it. I have twins one who is Layla and the other with a name that starts with A and rhymes with Amelia. It's just the style of name/s that we like and shouldn't not have them just becuase they both end in A original.gif

I don't know what the similarity is. Is it my accent?

Lay-la

ə-MEEL-yə

Amelia and Ariana seem much closer to me. Maybe I'm crazy. But Amelia and Layla isn't a problem that I can see? shrug.gif

If a cat doesn't like you, then what's wrong with you?
I don't see how they're remotely similar. I like Layla. I think it's lovely.
