I'm almost 21 weeks and woke up the morning with this pain low on the right side and spotting. The spotting has stopped now but the pain is getting worse. It's not like the ligament pain I've been getting on and off down my left side. It's really focused in the 1 area and reminds me a lot of pain I had when I had a cyst on my ovary on the other side.
I can still feel the baby moving but not as much today. My GP is on holidays until early Feb and I'm a bit uncomfortable with seeing the doctors at our local cattle farm doctors. I don't want to waste the hospitals time either if its something petty.
Anyone else had pains like this during pregnancy?

If the pain is still there in 24 hours I'd get it checked at emergency.

Give the maternity ward at your local hospital and call and see what they say. I did this when I had spotting with DS. They had me go in and used the doppler to find his heartbeat.

They may be able to organise a quick scan to check on baby if need be.

I hope it's nothing to worry about.

I'd call delivery and see what they say. No harm in getting it checked out.

I would definitely be calling the maternity ward if only to have them reassure you - you don't want to be wondering and worrying until your GP comes back in 3 weeks, that is a lot of time to imagine the worst when it might be nothing.

FWIW I had spotting at 19 weeks last time and called the hospital and they said that I should come in to emergency as soon as possible so they could do a quick check on bubs. So you wouldn't be "wasting their time".

Give the hospital a call. They are usually fantastic and understanding.

Do you know your blood group? If you are rhesus negative, definitely call soon. You'll need to be a little more vigilant if spotting.

Did you call maternity ward Tidey? A couple of thing to keep in mind, have you had intercourse in the last 24 hours? I have spotting form abot this point on after intercourse as the cervix is very sensitive. Have had it with both of my kids. Also, what colour is the spotting, is it old or new blood?

Sex is a dirty word in our house at the moment so definitely not. I still have niggling pain but not like yesterday. I'm sitting on hold with the maternity ward now but I'm not feeling too stressed about it because I have my scan tomorrow and I can still feel bubs moving about.
