rain covers for bjcm do they cover all of the seat? i have heard storys of it pooling at the foot rest?
i dont drive so im needing something that will keep DD completly dry.

sun shade, on a hot day how much protection does it really offer?

do your toddlers get hot in even with a sun shade and cotton liner?

how does the back rest work for you? is it easy to do with a 10ish kilo toddler?

how does it go on uneven foot paths? (not alot but mainly cracks and honkey nuts)

I own a blue one, it doesn't seem to show the dirt too much.

The best of all the prams I've seen (and the others I've owned), by far. DS's (10 months) feet only are still in the sun when it's down completely, I just put a bit of suncream on if he's awake or tuck some material around if he's asleep (although it's not the easiest pram to do this with, not many gaps). I often have to close the little viewing windows though as the sun comes through onto his head.

I also have a shade cover from another pram that works fine, although I only use that on really hot days as DS likes to see out.

I don't even use a liner, he seems ok. He gets more sweaty from the car seat than the pram.

DS would be nearly that size and I don't have any issues with it, it seems very supportative and easy to put down and up.

Not brilliant, it's a bit of a rough ride if the path's not smooth, and needs a little lift to get over any obstruction higher than a couple of centimetres. We took it to Christchurch and it drove us mad, with all the gravel and cracked pavements. Also things like nuts sometimes get stuck in the wheel rubber. If you're prepared to pay the extra, the GT version would be much better for this as it has air pumped tyres. Still, the footpaths in our area are a bit rough too and there's plenty of cobblestones but I use the BJCM as my everyday pram over my jogging pram because overall it is much better (particularly the sunshade and the easy light steering).

i getting mine in two weeks (YAY!!!)

its mainly for use as stroller on public transport, walks around the neighbourhood and quick duck out to the local deli..

i have already bought the cooler bag for hot days (WA weather is bloody hot!) and also have a 50 spf uva/uvb sun cover for current pram.

i love the fact that when we have another i can strap a capsule in and put a toddler board for DD.

I have the green and haven't found it gets excessively dirty...I take it apart annually and throw everything in the wash...still looks fab!

I have a universal rain cover and it covers the entire pram..foot rest and all, so no issues with rain pooling.
I also have the bjcm sun shade and its really good for keeping bugs etc out as well as the uv.
The sunshade on it is fantastic tho and covers a lot..

I have a liner and have never had issues of him getting hot in it.

It's great on footpaths etc..not great off road, so if you're doing a lot of walking on grass etc etc i would go up to the city select.
Ours has been fab and have never regretted buying it.

I have a red one, so I can't comment on the colours, but I have found that it doesn't show the dirt much, and you can pull the entire cover off the frame and machine wash it. Very easy to do WHEN your toddler decides to smear their lunch into the side.

I have never had an issue with the sun, I have a long DS, and when facing into the sun, it can come up to his knees, but a bit of sunscreen helps that. I have never found a pram with a better shade.

DS has never gotten that hot in the pram, any more so that he would sitting in any other chair. I keep the back open to let the breeze in on hot days, so that helps.

The only problem I have had with steering is that you need to avoin aiming the front wheel directly at obsicles, such as sudden tree roots or the corner of cracks. If you can get the front tyre somewhere, the back tyres will get there, irrespective of the terrain. A foot on the back bar is enough to lift the front wheel over obsitcles.

The pram is not perfect, but it is the absolute best I have found for my needs. I chose it for the one hand, no button fold and the weight (arthritis in hands and arms). I am having a secret affair with my BJ (don't tell DH!)
