I really love the name Lila and at the moment it doesnt seem overly popular but I keep seeing it pop up on polls and posts like this.

Do you think it could be the next Mia or Harper?

What other names do you think will appear/stay on the top 50 in five years time?

We have a Lila wub.gif And have only ever come across maybe 3? And my MIL has told me of a 2 in their 70's/80's that she looks after for work original.gif I don't think it's all that popular.

I think Amelia, Evie and Lucy are going to be much higher on the list, I know SO many around at the moment.

For boys there seems to be a lot of Jackson's, Noah's and Mason's around here lately.

I have a Mia and was a lil bit happy when I saw it has dropped out of the top 5 in QLD for last year. I think it will still linger.

Twilight names will hang around for a little bit longer I think. Have never met a Lilah younger than 40 yet though

Actually I think all these have peaked now.

Lucas and Luca seem to be overtaking Luke - and all the others, whilst they will remain popular for some time to come, I dont think they will climb any higher than they currently are on the top whatever list.

For girls I'm tipping more older, classic names, except longer ones. Like Elizabeth, Catherine, Christina, Miranda, Veronica, Alexandra, Josephine, especially ones with a Euro sound, and with lots of spunky nicknames. I think it's time for Jane, Joan, Jean et.al. to have a turn. Maybe a move away from flower names and some more gemstones?

For boys, I'm tipping more unisex names and "softer" euro sounding names like Pierre, Ruben. I'm guessing there will be a continuing trend with the sweet "old man" names, maybe it's time for Norman and Wilbur to get another go.

I agree with the older names coming back which is why I'm thinking Lila may make a comeback. It was quite popular in the 1800's.
Also agree with the gemstones - A friends frien just had an emerald.
