Is anyone else still having migraines? Or circulation problems? Blood pressure or general dizziness or nerve issues? Sorry - million questions. I have a history of migraines - they completely went away once I was off the pill in my late teens and only came back 15 years later when pregnant with DS1. I had them 1st and 3rd trimester and then again on and off for months after I had him just randomly. I've had them 1st trimester this time around and avoiding chocolate got rid of them.... but now they are back. I got one yesterday at 7pm (starts with visual problems) so immediately took my medication and lay down. That passed then I had waves of nausea but managed to keep from vomitting. Then I got pins and needles all down one arm/ hand and one side of my face. No real headache but felt hot then cold then itchy and repeat. But then I woke up with a headache which went away with another hour rest. Then at about 10.30 this morning it happenned again in pretty much that same order but the sypmtoms were all on the other side of my body.. None of these things are new to me but typically mine are one symptom followed by onset of headache - not 3 or 4 symptoms spread out like that. Late this afternoon I was just sitting on the couch resting and got another bout of pins and needles in my hand that eventually went away. All I ate this morning was toast and juice. I didn't have anything yesterday that I would find to be a trigger normally. So I'm starting to worry I might have a circulation or nerve problem. Most nights if I lay on my left side (as recommended) I feel very dizzy - even just rolling onto that side makes me dizzy. The other day when laying 1/2 on my side and kind of twisted and 1/2 on my back my face started to twitch!!! Saw my GP yesterday and all is fine with urine and blood pressure. Just wondering what everyone thinks. Sorry for the epic post... don't really have anyone else to ask right now and DH seems to not give a sh*t, to be honest. Mostly I'm worried about bubs of course and what's going on. Do you think it's worth going to hopsital tomorrow if I still feel dodgy?
I know I need more rest but I certainly go loads last night - basically in bed from 7.30pm!! And I have had very bad fluid retention the entire pregnancy which is always worse when I'm at work full time and worse again toward the end of the work week. After resting all day it's all but gone now but was still some cankle action earlier today. |

Yup my headaches have gotten worse as the pregnancy continues. My OB and GP are in talks about what to do.

I suffer chronic migraines these days. They were not so bad a few years ago but they always came on badly in pregnancy, especially second trimester. I was told panadine is OK and also to use cold packs on your head to help ease the pain which does work for a while.
I have since discovered botox as a treatment for migraine. I didn't get it done initially but my neuro told me it's good for those who are pregnant and tends to last about three months. Not that I know if that's an option for you but figured I might as well mention it anyway. Otherwise there is not much else you can do but rest and try to attack them with pain killers. |

Ive suffered from migraines for years, i went on a preventor and would then only get one migraine when i got af, but i had to stop abruptly due to pregnancy. I also cant take my normal tablets, my doctor has prescribed panedeine forte as codeine is ok but im trying to last a bit longer to fill it.
My triggers are hormones, dehydration, lack of sleep, theres a few more but these are my main ones. I find heading to bed as soon as i get the first sign with two panadol, a bottle of water and an ice pack, helps some what if i can get back to sleep quickly, im light sensitive too so all the lights have to be out. I find the sleep and water combo covers two triggers. Hormones well not much i can do about that. Today is the first day ive only had a headache the last two days have been shocking and im only 18wks. |

| I barely survived yesterday & its already today! | |

My dr had me on 100mg aspirin daily as a preventer.
I was also getting remedial massages, a lot. Started twice weekly and moved to about fortnightly. Being hospitalized was the straw that broke the camels back & I'd rather pay a fortune to the massuer. The vomiting was horrid |
