I'd love some help selecting from these four lovely names. I'm at the stage where I've put too much thought into this decision and now I can't think clearly at all! These are my hesitations with each name:
Eliza and Imogen - I'm not a huge fan of "Liza" or "Immy" as nicknames but I love the names in full. Lucy - a close friend has named their dog this and it's basically a member of their family Sophie - very popular especially when Sophia and Sofia are so similar. Any feedback will be gratefully received! Thankfully I already have a boy's name sorted. Thank you |

I like Imogen best then Lucy (I prefer Lucinda with Lucy as a nickname) I don't like Eliza (don't know why) or Sophie (reminds me of soapy!) |

Wow! FOUR great names OP.
That doesn't happen very often on EB. MY favourite from those would be: Eliza. Suits both a little girl and a grown woman. Lucy is great, but maybe a bit cutesy for an adult? Imogen I love, but have seen the spelling butchered that puts me off. Sophie is pretty, but I prefer Sophia. |

They're all lovely names. Not sure if it helps but I'd rank them in this order:
Imogen Sophie (or Sophia if you'd like a less popular name) Eliza (or Elise or Eloise) Lucy (or Lucinda or Lucia so it's not the same name as the dog!) I guess with nicknames you can tell people your preferences when the child is young, but once they're in school their friends may make up anything! I love Sophie...
FWIW I would have no issue using Lucy, even though there is a dog with that name. The child is going to out live the dog... Good luck with the decision |

Eliza gets my vote.
Classic, feminine, not overly popular, and so pretty! My 13-year-old niece Eliza gets called Eliza. Just tell people that your daughter's name is Eliza. |

Imogen is gorgeous
Lucy was on our list for DD1 I would like Eliza but the only one I have ever met was/is a complete and utter bogan. Her name does not suit her as Eliza is a lovely name but I wouldn't use it because of her. Sophie is too common for me to use even though I also think it's a pretty name. |
