We're thinking of taking a babymoon in Feb or April and need some ideas!
Requirements: - no vaccinations required for travel - warm weather for swimming - want somewhere very relaxing for our last holiday before bubs arrives - decent standard of accomodation - not too far to fly from Sydney So please give me your suggestions!! |

We're considering Bannisters at Mollymook as its not too far to drive and I don't want to fly anywhere.

The Byron at Byron (Bay)
- screened porches, heated pool, onsite day spa, daily yoga on the beach - not right in Byron, so you can pop in as you need to and relax when you don't Salt at Kingscliff - fly to Gold Coast - everything you need there (if you want to relax) |

That time of year you really can't go past Noosa, esp if you avoid the school holiday crowds, sunshine coast is a 1 hour flight from Sydney

Oooh, thanks! I'm going to have to start googling these places! I can't to have it settled where we'll go since we both worked for the full Christmas/New Year period.... but just need to decide where to go.
Outdoorgirl - is there somewhere to stay in Noosa that you'd recommend? This post has been edited by Sunshiney: 05/01/2013, 12:41 PM |

We went to New Zealand for our baby moon...went to Queenstown and Rotorua. Wasn't exactly warm, but it would be warmer now. Had a great time...only a 3 hr flight =)

DH and I had a mini babymoon during September school holidays and my parents took my two other kids for us. We decided to do the opposite of what we can do locally. We live in the country, so we had a city break, stayed in a posh hotel, ate at fancy restaurants, went to the theatre, did a bit of shopping and some sight seeing.
So, if you already live in the city, why not consider a country break (or small beachside town). Find a nice B&B or boutique hotel with a pool, and then take in the peace and quiet, etc. |
