Can we fix it? YES WE CAN!
Can anyone recommend a class or club in the Hillarys and surround areas?

I'm looking at getting 5.5y/o DS into a junior martial arts class of some type but have no idea of where to start! There seems to be a wide variety of clubs (karate/taekwondo/jujitsu etc) and I don't know what is best for young boys.

I just want to encourage confidence, core body strength, concentration and above all - to know when and how to defend passively before lashing out.

Thanks in advance original.gif

Not sure if Wangara is too far from you, but we went to Spear dojo at Wangara, it was great but we had to leave as DS has too many other commitments.

Thanks Glr-r, Wangara is reasonably close and I have seen quite a few martial arts schools in that area. I'll definitely look into Spear dojo, I'd just been hoping to avoid crossing the freeway and Wanneroo Road each way if possible tongue.gif

Anyone else? eta: Does anyone know if any council centres run programs? eg Craigie or Heathridge Leisure Centres?

My boys do Aikido at West Coast Aikido Academy in Wangara. They have a Little Dragons class but my boys were too old for that class when they started. They really enjoy Aikido and I like it becauses, as it states on the Academy's website, Aikido is a peaceful, non-competitive Japanese martial art that relies on technical skill and awareness to neutralise an attack.

My kids used to do taekwondo Here

My kids loved it, and if it weren't for the fact we moved SOR they would still be going. Awesome place
