Hi Ladies,
I went shopping in Brisbane today (Indro) trying to find some stretchy pants/skirts to wear to work for the next month or so. The pants I've been wearing have belts around the waist and already are too uncomfortable/tight (darned bloating!!). I work in a conservative (male dominated) office. I don't want to buy anything too obviously maternity, but after a fruitless day today am thinking of checking out the maternity stores in Brendale tomorrow. I'm curvy so not the easiest to buy office clothes for (cleavage not acceptable!). Anyone in Brisbane seen any suitable pants/skirts and any tips on where to go?

I'm having the same troubles. My work is quite corporate and it is difficult to find anything suitable. If you don't mind shopping online, there is some nice maternity clothing on the UK website ASOS, I'm thinking of ordering a couple of things from there

Find a Fashion Fair store and have a look in there, most of the stores are in and around Brisbane and apart from a couple of items everything I wore during my pregnancies came from there.
They are a predominantly casual wear store, but they do have some office friendly items that are also pregnancy friendly.

I am the same, work in an office and usually wear suits (skirts) to work everyday. Well they already don't fit and those that do are just too uncomfortable. I have some pant suits I pulled out and have found some tops I own which I can wear without tucking in. I have heaps of nice matnerity tops but they definitely look matnerity so can't wear them just yet. I think I will need to end up telling work earlier than hoped as it will be just too hard to hide.

One thing I did do when I was pregnant before was just buy some dressess and tops from Target but in the next size up. It actually worked well particularly with dresses as there was more room around the belly. Not so good with pants though. Good luck...

In early pregnancy I had a stretchy skirt i found in target. I mostly just got a size bigger and that worked well for a while. Im 6 months now and have bought most of my clothes from autograph as they have elastic waistbands etc and are cut a bit bigger. I also found some great shirts at Rivers. I can't justify the cost of the name brand maternity stuff and find the target maternity pants just fall off when i walk.
good luck, you'll find stretchy stuff, just keep looking!

Hello ladies, I have had the same problem but found a really good online store which has some great work clothes on offer. It is http://www.queenbee.com.au/?gclid=CMPv6dzizbQCFQslpgodTloAyA
I ordered some basics from there - black pants, skirts, tops etc - and they arrived really quickly. They also seem to have a good return policy so if the clothes aren't quite right you can send them back. This was the best (most stylish) online store I have found to date.
I too work in a corporate environemnt and my 'normal' clothes are already too tight and uncomfortable.

asos.com seem to have some really nice and reasonably priced maternity wear, with free shipping to Australia. I've saved a bunch of items I like for when I start to need them - but I haven't actually bought any yet.

Has anyone else bought mat wear from asos and is the quality any good?

Not my DIG but I have a few ASOS maternity dresses and I love them although they are too low cut for work for me or a little on the figure hugging (high school teacher). The quality is terrific and I am really happy with them - they fit well and for the most part the sizing charts are on target for the clothes (I am a 16-18 in clothes). I cannot vouch for anything other than the dresses though.
