I had my son 3 weeks ago and since then I have noticed my sweat and general body smell has changed compared to before he was born. Has anyone else noticed this? I assume it's a hormone change or something to do with breastfeeding.

I noticed this after I had my DD and put it down to hormones. I did not breastfeed.

For me it has been permanent.

I am also 3 weeks pp and think that it is the hormones leaving the body.... It takes 12 months for a body to get over a pregnancy and bleeding generally lasts 4-6 weeks,just give your body a little more time
This is my 5th and i have never had the post pregnancy smell for long, just figure it is all the hormones sorting themselves out and it settles down after a few weeks... There is a smell to breastmilk, but you would know if it was that, because the only thing that smells is the breast pads and that is easily fixed

I stink after having babies. No matter what I do, I just smell wrong. It only lasted about 12 weeks each time and I am now back to my fragrant self.

I'm 7.5 months pp and I still have a weird bo smell. Like a stinky boob sweat smell. I hope it goes when I stop breastfeeding.

I had an awful, weird odor until I stopped Breast Feeding DS2 at five months old. I couldn't get rid of the odor not matter what I did. I showered three or four times a day, small amount of deodorant(didn't want to put too much on if I was feeding DS), changed my clothes several times a day and shaved my body hair off. Nothing worked until I stopped feeding him myself.

It must be something to do with hormones. I had it this time after the twins were born. Very sweaty and a bit stinky. DH said I wasn't but I didn't smell my usual fresh self and had to shower twice a day. I am exclusively breastfeeding 14 week olds and I've gone back to normal.
