So I'm on my new year fitness kick (and on the New year New me thread) wanting to know your best low calorie/low carb meals.

I especially struggle with breakfast but am interested in all meals and snacks.

I'll start by sharing the dinner I made us tonight which was yummy !!!! I'm trying to follow the basic rules of Atkins/body trim:

- lean pork steaks with garlic and herbs cooked in the George Forman grill

(I cut down on the bacon and only used enough to flavour the pan, and used only the splash of olive oil not the butter)

Plus some steamed green beans and apple sauce.

I'm cheating a bit by having the odd bit of mountain bead to accompany chicken or tuna and salad rolls or make a fattoush salad, I have minimal brown rice and the odd rice cracker too but have pretty much cut out pasta, bread and all white rice etc.

For breakfast you can have low fat yoghurt and fruit or eggs with wilted baby spinach.....

Summer is good because of all the great salad veges you can fill up on with some lean meat. I use garlic and lemon juice as marinade fairly often.
