Hi there!

I am looking at getting some nice new sheets to start the new year but I am getting so confused! There are so many! I have never actually brought sheets before and always seem to inherit them off mum (embarrassing I know at 32 yrs old).

Ours are all yuck and pilled. I want something that feels really smooth and won't pill. The thread count seems to vary dramatically, then you have cotton or poly cotton or Egyptian cotton (which I have no idea what that is)! Arghhhhh!

So tell me what is best and where do you buy them for the most reasonable price?

As high as you can get/afford.

I have 1500tc sheets on my bed and they are so lovely. A bugger to dry in winter, but worth it.

I got them on Ebay and they were only $100 per set. Amazing value, they are so thick.

I wont sleep on anything less than 1000.

They are dearer for sure but they last longer and feel sooooooo much better.
Warmer in winter assnd cooler in summer.

Go for the highest thread count, purest cotton you can find.

Once you've hit the quadruple digit thread count there is no going back, everything else feels like sandpaper. Cotton is nice, Egyptian cotton is sheer bliss.

I actually love the Target 1000 count sheets. Best value for price as they have 50% off sales on them (one is on at the moment). My sister who used to swear by Sheridan only slept on them at my house and is now a convert.

The ones that pill are polycotton. We use 1000TC and they are beautiful.
