I am so sad.
My beautiful Grandma passed this morning.
She was a fit, healthy, active 86 year old. Played bridge, still drove, volunteered at the Migrant Resource Centre, still made jam from her fruit trees ...
She had a headache last night whilst playing bridge with a group of friends. They took her to hospital and she had a massive stroke and never recovered. Passed early hours this morning.
I am in shock. She just never looked like she aged, was never sick. Would send me text messages (her hearing wasn't crash hot so it was easier for her to text than talk on the phone).
She is someone who I will always love and admire.
She was a kindergarten teacher who had a beautiful nature.
She taught me all I know about appreciating nature and human diversity. She stood up for what was right in Switzerland during World War 2 (even though Switzerland was neutral, apparently there was definitely Nazi influence creeping in).
I am going to miss her so much.

RIP my beautiful Grossmueti.
