DH and i struggle with baby names, so this has been a loooooong process to get this far.

So give me your honest opinions.

If it's a girl....................Estella Mae

Other first name options are Hannah, Sally, Louise (although i will be fighting for Eloise)

If it's a boy....................Owen Albert

Other first name options are James, Hamish, Hugh, Elliot

DD is Alice.

I love love love Eloise, its my daughters middle name, so Im with you on that original.gif I would personally use Estelle rather than Estella as to me it feels clunky when you say it love Mae and the spelling too. Hmm actually I would use Stella Mae.

For boys love the name Hamish, Owen is nice don't particularly like Albert unless its a family name. I would personally have Owen Elliot.

Good luck OP this choosing baby name lark is hard work!

Estella and Owen are both lovely names. Agree with the PP that Elliot is a better choice for boys mn.

Eloise is my favourite from your other girls names.

Sorry should have added the middle names are family names and set in stone.

I find Owen Albert a bit hard to say, but figure we won't be saying his middle name out loud too much.

I also love Estelle (rather than Estella) but DH knows Estella from Great Exectations and feels Estelle is "unfinished".......*sigh*

Thanks for your feedback. biggrin.gif

Favourites for first names are Elliot and Louisa.

I'm not keen on Estella (or any Ella names) but I do quite like pp suggestion of Stella which is an exception. Estelle is nice too.

If a cat doesn't like you, then what's wrong with you?
I don't like Estella. I like Estelle or Stella. With Alice what about Louisa? Or I'd go with Eloise.

I like Owen Albert. Second favourite is Elliott.

With the name Estella, I suspect that she might end up being called Stella as a shorter nickname, which is still a lovely nickname but I also prefer Estelle.
