Sore Ovary...

Hi Ladies For those of you who are much better at tracking cycles than I am, does anyone have any experience with pain in an ovary and ovulation? I came off the pill and had a bleed on 12 November, then had a multitude of symptoms that made me almost sure I was PG but then AF arrived on 22 December. So, I have no idea how long my cycle is at the moment, but we are keen to conceive #3 asap. I know everyone is different, but my right ovary is sore and I'm just wondering if anyone else is aware of how long it is likely to be between getting that pain and O? TIA!

I sometimes get O pains, but not always. I understand that some people find they get the pain the day before whereas so get it during. So it's hard to tell which stage you are at. I'd suggest a ovulation test. I find it more accurate, as my symptoms seem to change each cycle.

I get ovulation pain almost every cycle. The one just gone was REALLY painful, the worst I've ever had and went for over 24 hours. I usually find that the pain happens the day before I get a positive OPK but like the PP said, it is different for everyone so your best bet is to use an ovulation predictor kit

I get o pains on the day of o and sometimes it continues for another 2/3 days after. Everybody is different.

last month I had crippling ovulation pain, so bad that i thought I might have a ruptured cyst! It came 24 hours after a positive OPK and I've never felt anything like it. It passed after a couple of hours and interestingly I've just got a bfp from that cycle.

I always get ov pain around ov day and for about a week after. Also can make sex uncomfortable...I mentioned it to my gyn last appointment and she felt around to check for a cyst, couldn't feel anything and gave me a referral for a scan "just in case" if it gets worse. It hasn't and it has always been like this so I haven't had scan. It is always on the right side. I have heard that this is not an indication of which side you are ovulating from as pain can be referred all over the place down there.
