My 2 year old DD has been going through the typical stone collecting thing recently, but a few minutes ago I saw her pulling at something she had put in her pocket. Hubby thought it was paper but I got a peek and recognised it straight away - just for laughs I asked him to get it.

She had both my ATM cards, one in each pocket rolleyes.gif

So that got me wondering - what have you found in your kids pockets? huh.gif

Two of mine had a thing about cicada shells. They would both fill their pockets and preschool bags and drawers with them. They are quite fragile things, I had bits of insect shell everywhere.

when i grow up i wanna be like me
One of my old mobile phones that I had given to them as a toy, DS2 (and DD) go to gymnastics, the first thing they usually do are forward rolls, as one of his instructors was helping him into position she felt something in his pocket and pulled it out, little rat had brought along the phone and hidden it in his pocket. Another time while using the bars he was tipped upside down and out fell two matchbook cars from his pockets lol (this taught me to ask him to leave all toy cars in the car, guess he thought that didn't mean the phone lol).

With DS it was - sand; matchbox cars and rocks or as he called them 'pretty crystals'.

DD it was always a 'special drawing'. sigh. I washed so many of her special drawings.

Ds (3) is tools, he is obsessed with screwdrivers, nuts, bolts anything to 'fix' things with. He steals them from dh's shed if he gets the chance and we find them under his pillow, in his pockets.

DD collects rocks, not even nice ones, just gravel out of a garden bed for a hotel we pass on the way to daycare. Then we line them up above the coat hook when we get there.
I've given her some of my old/expired/no longer used cards (not credit or debits ones though) to play with that are 'her' cards.
She doesn't normally have pocket though.
