Hi, sorry if this is located elsewhere but I've been searching for what feels like forever and can't get any advice on fitting 3 seats in the middle row of my 2012 kluger.

Has anyone done it and if so, which seats do you have?

I have a 2.5yr old in a maxi rider and just about to move my 5month old out of the capsule (hired) and into a ff seat. We will have at least one more child so want to get her a seat that will fit in long term.

thanks for your help

Later on you will probably have to ditch the maxi rider as it is a wide seat.

I like the sns compaq (new one ) as it sits high and I can get down to do up booster seatbelts. The Lifestyle is the same seat without the extras ( ie.no quick adjust of straps).

The Infa secure Kompressor is also a slim seat with narrow base.

Your bubs is safer RF. the seats mentioned above allow for RF for a long time.

6 m is legal FF minimum. 12 m is recommended minimum.

We were looking at buying a Kluger and I can't imagine getting any three seats side by side in the second row. I don't understand why a 'family' vehicle wouldn't have three equal seats in the middle row. I have just bought a Safe N Sound Compaq which may be worth trying as it's quite narrow.

I fit 3 seats across the Rav4 so you won't struggle with the Kluger which is bigger.

I have infa vario booster, a sNS unity capsule and a baby love FF seat.

Most cars are 40-20-40 split for the rear row.

There are only 2 cars which have equal middle row seats.... The Peugeot 308SW or the Citroen C4 Picasso. They have 3x45cm seats in middle row. So their split is 33.3-33.3-33.3.

Look at the three across successes in the sticky at the top of this forum. It is about the width of the seats and how they puzzle together.

As I said earlier you MaxiRider will have to go in the Future... It is a huge seat. If people can fit 3in a VW golf , the Kluger can fit 3.

We have an older model kluger and can fit 3 forward facing seats across the middle row, or we can fit one rear facing with two ff either side.

You just need to right combo of seats. Seats next to each other need to be different styles - ie we have a hipid senator that has a wide low base, next to a seat that has a narrower base and the seat part sits higher than the seat of the senator so they puzzle together as IB said.

A friend has the 2012 model and its bigger than mine and she fits her 3 kids in car seats across the middle row

We have a 2012 klugar. We have just installed the hi liner booster for 5 year old, maxi rider for 3 year old and safe and sound capsule for new bub due in 6 weeks. We were told by the fitting specialist that the meridian ahr will fit once we take the capsule out. I would find a fitting specialist and call to ask.
I looks like it will fit. The current set has room where the capsule is.
We have capsule, then maxi rider then hi liner.

I can tell you shortly, we recently got a 2012 Kluger, I have a 6.5yo in a hi-liner and 3.5yo in a Meridian and yesterday picked up my steelcraft capsule so will be playing around with positioning in the next week or so,
I have a few friends with 3 in the rav 4, biggest prob seems to be accessing the buckle for the booster seat belt
