HAPPY NEW YEAR, everyone.

I'm on day 4 of my cycle, and feeling good.
Hopefully I stay that way, as my new FS has put me on double the drugs my old one ever had me on.

Hi April and b0rn! I've been stalking this thread, but all I've been seeing are tumbleweeds so I thought it was about time I contributed!

I'm on day 11 of my cycle. Had my first ultrasound yesterday and it wasn't looking too shabby - 12 follicles all up which I'm happy with considering I only had 4 follicles on a previous cycle. It looks like I'll probably be triggering tomorrow night, with EPU on Friday.

Good luck with your EPU tomorrow! Keep us posted. Because really, there are people reading this thread! I'm sure of it...

Hi guys

I'm on Day 1 of my cycle, Puregon injections starting in 2 days with EPU scheduled for 21JAN. This is my second IVF attempt, only 5 eggs last time, with 1 fertilised (BFN). So hoping for a better result this time.

I've cut out caffeine this time (well one cup of tea a day vs the double shot latte I used to have). Also I'm trying acupuncture. Anyone else trying other stuff to help the IVF along?

Hi MsMooMoo! I haven't cut out caffeine completely, just my afternoon coffee. I don't think I can cut out my morning coffee until I get my BFP! I've also cut out alcohol and sugar (well, chocolate mainly!).

Are you doing anything this cycle that's different from your first? I'm on my 2nd stim cycle too and my doctor increased my Gonal-F dosage from my first cycle. Which has clearly worked as I've managed to get more follicles so far...

hi lovely ladies!

April - all the best tomorrow with your EPU! Look forward to your update - excited for Saturday for u!!

MsMoo - have just been trying to eat healthier this time around and also trying to 'relax' and not 'stress' too much. Other than that I haven't changed anything (am not a coffee/tea drinker - have cut down on my nutella intake though!) What dose of puregon are you doing? I was on 150 first time around and then when had to intervene in my last FET I was on 100.

Sainter - I'm also CD11 today! Great numbers so far! I had 19 collected, 15 fertilised and 6 made it to freezer. We will be using embryo #2 this month - will be going for my first u/s on Thursday to see if I'm heading towards ovulation naturally. Could be looking at frozen transfer as early as next weekend.

All the best lovelies! Stay hydrated in this heat, please!

b0rn - wow, those are great numbers! Six in the freezer! My clinic has more success with FETs than fresh transfers, so I'm very excited for you! Are you taking any OPKs or are you just monitoring your cycle with ultrasounds (and blood tests?)?

Had another scan this morning - follies are growing but my clinic just wants to give them another day. So it looks like the EPU will be on Saturday now, unless my blood test results say otherwise. As you all know, timing is everything so I'm slightly stressed about my DP abstaining - my clinic goes by the 3-5 days rule and we initially thought we were going to have the EPU on Thursday, then Friday, but now it's looking like Saturday and DP hasn't 'released the hounds' since Sunday. He has super swimmers and we haven't had any problems with fertilisation in the past (this is our 3rd stim cycle in total), but still... timing is everything. Blah!

I agree with Sainter - b0rn they are fantastic numbers! I dream of getting more eggs this time, 5 was pretty dismal last time (then only 1 fertilised). April must be having her EPU today - fingers crossed for her.

Yes they have upped my dosage of puregon for this round. I was on 150 last time, starting at 225 this time. Last time it was looking pretty dire, only 6 small follicles at the first scan - so they delayed my EPU a few days. I was told they learned a lot from my first time, so fingers crossed this means a better second attempt. My main goal is to get enough to freeze so I can avoid another full IVF cycle for a while.

So this is why I thought I'd try cutting down/out caffeine and acupuncture this time around. My doc told me to cut out all alcohol from December, but I admit I had a glass of wine a couple times. But nothing since before Christmas. I'm liking the acupuncture, if anything it's forcing me to relax for an hour.

I start the puregon tomorrow. I'm not feeling that confident, last time was disappointing. But I'm glad to have found this group to be able to talk about it with others while going through it original.gif
