Prep / FYOS Stationery Supplies, Have you been given a list?

Wondering what stationery preps/FYOS take to school. Anyone been given a list of things to buy which they care to share?

Indecision is the key to flexibility
Our school buys all the supplies themselves, and distributes to the classrooms. Prep-2 just have shared stuff, so the teacher labels which books they will use, pencils in the middle of the tables, etc. We just pay booklist at the start of the year.

Is that typical for most schools? Is so I guess I don't need to buy the personalised pencils then. I was kind of looking forward to buying all the stuff

I guess it depends on each different school, all of the schools my kids have been to have had book packs, we're in Vic if that makes a difference. The only time I have brought stationary is for my high school kids

Our Prep stationary is supplied by the school.

We also pay for a book pack and stationary is supplied but you could buy the pencils etc for home

Us too except it is part of the school fees ( including all excursions, swimming etc). $750 per term first child and $125 per subsequent child ( catholic local school). We are asked to supply 3tennis balls, 3boxes of tissues, tube of sunblock and hand sanitisers. Once again it is a pooled resource for whole class.

If the school hasn't advised you of what to buy then I would assume they will supply or you will be given a book pack. Previously we have had to cover the odd size books (scrapbooks, A5 notebooks etc) however DS#2's teacher has already advised that no covering of books is required. Yippee. Let's hope the other two follow suit.

My fyos child's supplies are included in the school fees ($120 per year). The teachers prefer nothing to come from home, as it creates too much fuss with young kids losing/borrowing/refusing to start writing until they have their hello kitty pencil.
