Hi there,

DH and I are having a boy and want to name him Lincoln . What do you think? Can you think of any short middle names to match as our surname starts with T and is long (9 letters) ??

My friend just had a boy on Boxing Day and called him Lincoln Kai. I like it.

I went to uni with a Lincoln...he was a cool guy, so for me Lincoln is pretty cool name. The only thing is he often got his name shortened to 'Linc', which I don't like as much. I think the middle name needs to be one syllable, and probably something quite classic/conventional so as not to distract from the first name.

I really dislike it, but as a general rule I am not a fan of surnames as first names and the only one I know IRL is about the biggest knob head I know. He gets called Linc mostly.

For Civil War era my hero is John Brown but I can't imagine that's the theme that you were going for.
