Hi there

My babies will soon need to transition to sleeping bags and I'm after some recommendations. I'm after one sleeping bag that can be used from 0 - 2 years old and in all weather so we only have to buy 1/2 each.

So far the only one I've found that meets the requirements is a Merino Kids Go Go Bag:
Can be used in room 18 - 30 degrees (live in Brisbane so this is perfect)
Is 84cm long (is this the cm of an average 2 year old)
They are pricey at around $130 each but found ones on special for $117 and considering you only need 1 it's not to bad.

Any other recommendations or feedback appreciated.

I just replied to your other thread. I adore our Go Go Bags. I would suggest you get 2 as you often need a back p when a nappy leaks of bub spews. If you're on a budget check out EBay - you can often pick up second hand ones. MK also often do specials for 2.

I had grobags for my first but have now decided I love the Skip hops bags as they are roomier and in my opinion better quality.

I use the cotton ones from Best and Less. I had a couple of the more expensive brands and prefer the Best and Less ones. The plus side with the ones from Best and Less is that they are cheap so I can buy quite a few of them for back ups.
The Best and Less ones are also sized the same way as the clothing is, I found the ones designed to fit a 6 or more month age gap extremely big on my kids when they were at the lower end of the age spectrum and all that loose fabric gave me the creeps.

I'm another one who recommends the Merino bags. I ended up buying 3, as sometimes DS would wet through his pyjamas, but I usually only needed 2. He's now 21 months and I've just moved him into the 2-4yo Merino bags, as he was getting too long for the 0-2yo, even though he's average height.

I was happy to spend the extra money, considering you need so few, compared with the other bags where you have to get a variety according to TOGs.

My DD had Go Go Bags which were great, unfortunately not all babies can use wool so we've had to revert back to cotton ones for DS. I've got a few Gro Bags for Summer, but in winter when our house is freezing, nothing beats a 3.5 tog Ergo Bag.

I like the Merino Kids ones, and have found them to be great for regulating temperatures. We also have some from Sweet Cheeks Merino, which are good too. We have two winter weight (duvet weight) and two summer/normal weight ones.

Yeah, they're expensive, but the first time I was woken at 7am after DS had wet through and managed to keep sleeping, it was worth it

I use Bambino Merino - a little cheaper than Merino Kids at Aome Baby (online store). Very happy with this purchase!
