So, we think we have narrowed names for our baby boy, due at the end of April, down to Archer or Oscar.

MN will probably be Maxwell or Max (a family name). Surname is one syllable beginning with P.

We already have a DD called Florrie.

Which do you prefer (if either)? How about MN? Maxwell or just Max? Do they go well with Florrie? Ahhh...! unsure.gif

Honest opinions would be great as we are finding boys' names so hard!!

Thank you!!

I really don't like either name OP, especially Archer. Oscar is the one I dislike the least out of your first name options. Both have been used to death these last few years though.

Max and all the variations are nms either. I do like family names as middle names regardless of whether it's a 'nice' name or not though so definitely us it.

Sorry, I'm not much help.

Archer is my fave boys name (unfortunately Our best friend used it for his son 8 years ago so it is out) I also love Oscar but not Oz as a nn.

Given your last name is one syll I would go with Archer Maxwell ...

I dislike both, but think Archer is way too trendy, particularly with a classic MN and with the very old-fashioned Florrie in a sibset.

Oscar is more timeless, so I would vote for that.

Hi there,

I like Oscar Maxwell or Archie Maxwell.
Florrie and Arthur would be lovely together and there aren't many of them around!

Good luck!

Not Archer. IMO it is a little pretentious.

Oscar Max sounds nice.

I really like both names and they go with your middle name. I also love Archie.

My new ragdoll kitten is Oscar, we call him Ossie or Oscie.

Definitely Oscar. I always assumed Archer is just a made up name that is used by people who really want to call their son Archie as a nn.
